Dr. Burgess was born in Dothan, Alabama and is a graduate of Huntington College where he acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He completed his medical training at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Al. His residency training was also at the University of South Alabama.
He is an active fellow member with the American College of Physicians and Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr Burgess is looking forward to teaching inpatient medicine clinical rounds. When Dr Burgess is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, offshore fishing and cooking.
